Introductory workshops and lectures are designed to give practitioners, students and interested members of the public an overview of the profound concepts and practices of the Huangdi Neijing (The Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Medicine). Written over 2000 years ago, the Huangdi Neijing is the foundational text of Chinese medicine. For centuries the Neijing text has been difficult for historical commentators and practitioners to interpret. In the late 1980’s, a majority of early Chinese texts, including the Neijing, were placed on computer databases allowing a revolutionary reinterpretation of these writings. Text research done over the last 20 years shows that far from being an outdated text with little practical significance, the Huangdi Neijing has broad clinical relevance to a variety of pressing global health issues such as cancer and resistant infectious diseases.
Evening Lectures are free and open to the public. Full day workshops are open to practitioners, students and interested members of the public.
